Belinda Wilson

Belinda Wilson, 63, of Beckley, WV, passed on March 18, 2026. She was born on August 24, 1962, in Beckley & Raised in Winding Gulf, West Virginia, to Betty Jean Wilson. Belinda was a staple of her community. All the children in the area loved her as if she were family; She had many titles “Aunt Belinda” “Ms. B” or “Ma.” Her door was always open to anyone and everyone. She is survived by her brother Andre Wilson; her great-uncles Clifford and James; daughters Brandy Wilson, Shannon Wilson, and Rita Cook (Marlon Cook); niece and nephew Andy and Von; grandchildren Dyneka Wilson, Jamara Walton, Keron Wilson, James Pankey, and Amariana Cook; great-grandson Khari Wilson; and a long list of family members and friends she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her mother Betty Jean Wilson; her grandparents Lawanya Staples Wilson and Jasper Wilson; her great-grandmother Nancy Staples, who raised her after the passing of her mother; and her grandsons Norman Steven Powell III and Anthony Sean Wilson. Belinda found joy in life’s simple pleasures and in the routines that brought her comfort each day. She had a special love for Coca-Cola and always enjoyed a refreshing bottle. She also had a special love for greeting cards , birthday cards she loved cards!! She rarely missed her favorite shows, faithfully tuning in to General Hospital, Family Feud, and Wheel of Fortune. A natural conversationalist, she loved to talk and never missed a chance to brighten someone’s day. One of her most cherished habits was sending daily “good morning” and “good night” messages—a small but meaningful way she showed her love and stayed close to family and friends. Through these simple acts she created lasting memories and left a warm impression on everyone who knew her. Belinda’s love, warmth, and presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched each day. Though she is no longer with us, we find comfort in knowing that love never truly leaves us. “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” — Psalm 34:18 She will be forever loved, forever remembered, and forever missed. 🕊️
